Maniacle Anti-Israel encampment at UCLA gains ground as demonstrations rage on

It was the Last Day of Passover when...
Police were noticeably absent when violence erupted on the campus of the University of California Los Angeles Tuesday night amid dueling protests over the Israel-Hamas war.

Dozens of pro-Israeli protestors, many wearing white masks and flags around their shoulders, arrived around 10:45 p.m. and attempted to dismantle parts of the pro-Palestinian encampment, which has gained ground on the campus, before deploying fireworks and what may have been bear or pepper spray.

Demonstrators on the pro-Palestinian side were seen using umbrellas, likely to shield themselves from the spray.

University campus police, along with some medical personnel, showed up to the scene briefly before departing, KTLA’s John Fenoglio, who was on the ground at the during the violence, reported.

At least one person was injured and was seen being carried away, while another person was seen laying on the ground while others attended to him.

Aerial footage from Sky5 captured the chaotic scene, including several clashes between protesters, though the crowd appeared to thin around midnight.
